We understand that life happens and things pop up last minute. We ask that if you are running late for your appointment, or for pick up, that you call us as soon as you can so that we can make adjustments to our schedule.
Our last pick up time is scheduled for 6:00PM. For any pickups after 6:00PM our groomers have the discretion to assess a late fee of $15 for the first 15 minutes, then a $1/min charge will accrue afterwards.
All clients will have the option to request a reminder for their appointment via phone call, text, or email. These reminders will be delivered 48 hours prior to your appointment
If you do not show for your appointment without contacting us, you will be assessed a $50 No-Show Charge which will be assessed on the first and second instance. These charges will be applied to your account. If you do not show for two appointments, you will then be designated as a pre-pay customer where you will need to pay at the time of booking.
We require a minimum of 24 hours notice for any cancellations. For any same-day cancellations, the groomer, at their discretion, has the right to assess a $25 same-day cancellation fee, which will be applied to your account.
We require that all pets have an up to date Rabies vaccination, please bring in proof of the vaccination or a current municipal license upon your initial visit. This is to ensure the safety of all other dogs and staff members. For all other vaccinations we recommend speaking with your vet to determine which vaccines suit your lifestyle.
We do not administer medication to any dogs. If your dog requires medication, then please ensure that they take the proper dosage before bringing them in for a groom.
Here at Pooches Parlour we take every precaution to ensure an enjoyable and safe experience for your Pooch. There are times, however, where we are confronted with either an aggressive or very anxious dog. In these cases we will stop the grooming process and allow the dog to relax and calm down off the table. Every attempt will be taken to safely resume grooming, however the groomer may at their discretion skip some of the steps or stop the grooming processes entirely if they feel that continuing will cause harm to your dog or to themselves. If we get to that point, our staff will contact you immediately to have your dog picked up from the facility.
Please note that we do our best not to use muzzles, however we may need to use them to ensure the safety of our staff members. If you do not feel comfortable with that, then please alert us upon drop off.
We take biting very seriously and we take every precaution to prevent it. If your dog bites or attacks another dog or one of our grooming staff you will be notified about this immediately. If your dog bites another dog or groomer in two separate instances, they will no longer be welcome at our salon. This is to ensure the safety of other dogs as well as our groomers.
